Refund and Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

ShopFlix AI operates on a subscription-based model. This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains our policies regarding subscription cancellations, refunds, and related matters.

2. Subscription Cancellation

2.1 How to Cancel

You may cancel your ShopFlix AI subscription at any time by:

  • Navigating to your account settings within the ShopFlix AI app
  • Clicking on "Cancel Subscription"
  • Following the cancellation prompts
  • Or by uninstalling the app from your Shopify store

2.2 When Cancellation Takes Effect

  • Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period
  • You will continue to have access to all features until the end of the paid period
  • No additional charges will be made after cancellation
  • You will receive a cancellation confirmation email

2.3 Post-Cancellation

  • Your account data will be retained for 7 days after cancellation
  • Product analysis history will be retained for 30 days
  • After these periods, your data will be permanently deleted
  • You may re-subscribe at any time to regain access

3. Refund Policy

3.1 No Refunds for Unused Time

General Policy: We do not issue refunds for partial billing periods or unused subscription time. This includes:

  • Mid-cycle cancellations (no prorated refunds)
  • Unused features or credits
  • Change of mind after subscribing
  • Downgrading to a lower-tier plan

3.2 Exceptions - When Refunds May Be Issued

Refunds may be considered in the following exceptional circumstances:

  • Billing Errors: If you were charged incorrectly due to a system error (e.g., double charging, wrong plan amount)
  • Fraudulent Charges: If unauthorized charges appear on your account
  • Service Not as Described: If core features advertised are completely unavailable and cannot be provided

3.3 Refund Request Process

To request a refund under exceptional circumstances:

  1. Contact us at support@shopflixai.com within 7 days of the charge
  2. Provide your Shopify store URL and subscription details
  3. Explain the reason for your refund request with supporting documentation
  4. Allow up to 10 business days for review and response

3.4 Refund Processing

If your refund request is approved:

  • Refunds will be processed within 10 business days
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method
  • It may take 5-10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement
  • You will receive a confirmation email once the refund is processed

4. Plan Changes

4.1 Upgrading Your Plan

  • Upgrades take effect immediately
  • You will be charged the prorated difference for the remainder of the billing cycle
  • Your next billing date remains the same
  • You gain immediate access to higher-tier features

4.2 Downgrading Your Plan

  • Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle
  • You will retain access to your current plan's features until the cycle ends
  • No credits or refunds are issued for the downgrade
  • Features from higher tiers will become unavailable after the downgrade

5. Failed Payments

5.1 Payment Failure Notification

If your subscription payment fails:

  • You will receive an immediate email notification
  • You have 5 days to update your payment method
  • We will attempt to retry the charge once after 3 days
  • The app may show limited functionality during this grace period

5.2 Automatic Cancellation

  • If payment is not resolved within 5 days, your subscription will be automatically canceled
  • Your access to the app will be suspended
  • No refunds will be issued for the failed payment period
  • You may re-subscribe at any time by updating your payment information

6. Free Trials

Note: If ShopFlix AI offers a free trial period in the future:

  • You will not be charged during the trial period
  • You can cancel at any time during the trial without being charged
  • If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be automatically charged for your chosen plan
  • Trial periods are available once per Shopify store

7. Chargebacks and Disputes

7.1 Before Filing a Chargeback

If you have concerns about charges, please contact us first at support@shopflixai.com. We will work with you to resolve any billing issues.

7.2 Chargeback Consequences

Filing a chargeback without contacting us may result in:

  • Immediate suspension of your account
  • Permanent ban from using ShopFlix AI services
  • Loss of all data and access
  • We reserve the right to pursue legal action for fraudulent chargebacks

8. Special Circumstances

8.1 Service Discontinuation

If ShopFlix AI discontinues the service:

  • You will receive at least 30 days' notice
  • You will receive a prorated refund for unused time
  • You will have time to export your data before service termination

8.2 Account Termination by Us

If we terminate your account due to Terms of Service violations:

  • No refunds will be issued
  • Access will be immediately revoked
  • Outstanding fees remain due

9. Currency and Taxes

  • All prices are listed in USD unless otherwise specified
  • Applicable taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax) will be added at checkout
  • Refunds will be issued in the same currency as the original charge
  • Currency conversion fees are the responsibility of the customer
